HEX
HEX is a blockchain protocol where users deposit HEX Tokens into the protocol which creates a 'HEX Stake'. Users who create HEX Stakes are rewarded in HEX tokens every day. The longer your stake is 'locked', the more HEX tokens you earn. Once your HEX Stake is 'unlocked', you receive the original HEX deposited plus the daily HEX rewards earned during the lockup period.
Actuator
Actuator is firstly a blockchain protocol that calculates the amount of HEX tokens your HEX stake is worth. This formula is simple:
HEX Stake Value = HEX Deposit + Earned HEX Rewards
Once calculated, stakers can then create an equivalent amount of 'HEX Time Tokens' (HTT) which are fully-backed by the HEX tokens. HTTs are special because they can be redeemed 1 for 1 for the HEX tokens once redemption day (end stake) arrives. This means the price of HTTs will closely follow the price of HEX.
This gives powerful new options for both stakers and casual HEX buyers.
- Stakers can now create HTTs and essentially sell a portion of their stake at an efficient price.
- Casual HEX investors can now buy HTTs at a discount to HEX and redeem their HTTs for HEX in the future.
